All in all pretty happy with my wind screen on my 2003 1800 vtx retro. Of the top holes for mount, the 3 in the center I had to drill with a step bit as they are larger to accept a larger grommet. On the upright bracket the lower holes were there but I had to drill holes for the center of the upright, which a bit off set to center to make room for the bracket and also larger for the larger grommet. Other than that I am pleased with fitment. I haven't tried it out in the wind yet to see if it performs as well or better than the original as far as turbulence , but over all pleased. 10-Q Clearview!

I ordered a 5 inch taller windshield to replace the stock quick detachable summer one that was on the bike when I bought it. The difference was night and day by far in quality. The shied was a few inches wider along with the top being recurved, both resulted in less wind for me in the seat. This is my third windshield from Clearview Shields that far exceeded my expectations. Definitely recommend anyone to purchase one.

I'm a tall rider and with the tallest HD windshield for their Road Glide the wind was at my chin. I tried one other aftermarket windshield but the wind was still at my eyes. Came across Clearview Shields on line and called and talked to them about their product. Each windshield is made to order. Their website has easy to follow measuring instructions so I ordered a XXL. Installed it as soon as came in and wind clears the top of my helmet. Great quality and fit perfectly. I would recommend Clearview Shields.

The windshield preformed very well on my 5k mile trip.the curved shield threw the wind over my head as I wanted,however I had an updraft in front of my knees that hit me right in the chest.not the best situation.I installed some deflectors and it has really helped that problem. I would recommend clear view windshields to anyone.I’ve had several and always found them to be a great product!

Great shield, love the vent, much more stable than the Givi I am replacing that cracked from a blast of wind from an oncoming truck. One problem with installation was the well nut and screw for the outside screws that pull the inside and outside fairing pieces together to secure the shield were too long and would not allow closure of the pieces. I had to use hardware from the old screen to make it work. Would give it overall 4.75 if I could have.
Let us know if we can send you some shorter well nuts if needed.

I am so happy with this purchase. I was trying to decide if I wanted to replace my original shield with a fairing or a replacement shield. I am really glad I chose this option. It is an exact fit & looks/works great. I chose the light tint/ recurve & 1.5 inches shorter than stock ( I'm only 5'8 ) & always had trouble seeing over the top of the original shield. One thing I highly recommend is taking pictures of the old one as you take it apart to easily put it back together!

I chose to increase the screen height by about 2 inches over the stock screen. Spent a good deal of time ruminating over whether I wanted to look through the screen or over the screen. Using the guide hints on the site I chose to go to one step over stock and look over the screen. It was an excellent choice. The wind now hits me on the forehead instead of the chest. It is so comfortable now I can steer with one hand due to the lack of buffeting. The screen was incredibly easy to install. I am very happy with the quality, help in choosing the right screen height and the ease of installation.

Windshield does it's job, but when raised about 30% at highway speeds there is a horribly loud screeching sound coming from the airflow up through the bottom center of the shield. The shield either needs to be up further, in the way of my vision, or down further, where I am buffeted with air more. Tried adjusting the shield to both upper and lower position on the ST1300, but the noise is still the same.

Hey Loren, We have learned of a assembly flaw with earlier models around the inside dash piece and the front fairing shell. The two mating pieces were not put together correctly and it caused a raised ridge that the air flow catches as it comes under the screen. As the screen is raise the airflow under increases and so does the sound. I have an email from a customer who researched and confirmed this event. Let me know if you need more info to check if your model was affected by this issue.

My Harley dealer put on a Klockwerks after an accident that broke the ferring and windshield and I pulled it off as soon as Clearview was able to get my new one fabricated. I also keep a 16" tall one for cold weather. I can't say enough about the quality, service and design of their product. Customer for life.

That said, they could be more tech savvy: I don't think they showed up at all when I did google searches for "ST1100 windshield replacement", tried "windscreen" as well... (They should google "Search Engine Optimization".) I ordered from some company on eBay that took me six weeks to ship me a CBR screen (still waiting for the refund). I found out about Clearview thru the online version of "word of mouth": an ST1100/1300 riders forum. Rave reviews. So I ordered... I don't get how since the screens are made to order most of the choices in the order form showed "Out of stock" for my old bike but the selection it allowed me to make was pretty much the screen I was trying to replace; the one that came with the used bike after I bought it. Nearly a month after my order (they didn't provide order tracking on the site) and was pleased to get a human first call! Unfortunately, he couldn't find the order by order number, then phone number then... Finally he was like, "Oh yeah, we should make that next Tuesday... Another couple of weeks of great riding weather gone (this is springtime of course, so I'm sure they were inundated) and I get a call from a guy saying there were flaws in the screen and did I want a discount or a do-over.... by now my bike really wants to hit the road, he sent me photos, I got a few bucks off, and it showed up nearly perfect, as advertised, though the enclosed hardware didn't match my faring really. No matter, I reused the old.

Great product. Love the fact that it’s a little wider than stock. No more head buffering. I ordered my windshield and it took about 4 weeks for delivery. I did get a call from them because when it went through the tinting process a little mark appeared so they gave me a choice either a discount on that one or they will make another one (I just would have to wait a little longer). So I took the discount and glad I did because like the guy said it is very hard to notice. Would recommend.

I need helmet buffeting to be at the minimum.I understood the measuring for ordering. I'm 5'8". Bought a beautiful Yamaha v star 950 touring with stock windshield. Terrible wind buffeting. Did some research and put on lower fork shields, which helped about 60% but buffeting was still annoying over 50 MPH. Went with the 18" clear shield with vent. Well, well! did that do the trick. Absolutely no more wind buffeting. I was originally hesitant about including the vent in my purchase, but man am I glad I got that. It was well worth it. I can adjust that slight breeze at my chest or right at my face. Concerning installation. 4 bolts gets the windshield off the bike to do the changeover on a towel on a table. Follow their instructions for sizing and you will be very happy with the results. I have had several motorcycles with stock wind shields , but these shields work for me. I have a 10 inch clear screen on a 2003 hd electra glide. It is optically clear and easy to clean. Thanks for a wind screen that actually works as advertised !

This is my second windshield ordered as I have had one on my 2003 GL1800 Gold Wing and have covered over 100,000 miles behind this shield. With care it has no scratches on it yet and does all I could ever wish from a windshield. The new Suzuki Bergman shield is also excellent and my only regret is not ordering the windshield vent. Totally happy with my purchase (albeit very expensive after US/Canadian dollar conversion and USPS shipping). But I would do it again in a heartbeat

The windshield fit without needing any adjustment or customization. The product was sturdy and the view is clear. They provided instructions on how to clean it without scratching it.

I just got a new 2023 Low Rider ST and I'm 6'1". I needed a windshield that protects me from the elements because I love long multi-state rides and hate suffering from freezing temps and wet rain, but also care about the "COOL FACTOR"! The OEM windshield looks cool but blows right in my face. I bought the KLOCK WERKS 8" & 10" windshields because they look cool and supposedly function to protect us from the elements! Not so, if you're over 6 feet tall! They also blew cold air directly into my helmet creating a brain freeze! I saw a YouTuber sharing his experience with the CLEARVIEW XL WINDSHIELD & decided, what do I have to lose? I've already spent a ton of money and CLEARVIEW allows you to test it out and return it, no questions asked, as long as you don't remove the protective screen on it. I tried it and within 10 minutes of highway riding, I ripped off the protective screen because I finally found a clear winner for me! If you're about 6 feet tall or more, get the the XL windshield and don't waste your time and money on anything else! NO JOKE! I just returned from a 4K+ mile trip from WA to AZ & BACK (WA, OR, CA, AZ, NM, CO, UT, ID, OR again & back home to WA) The last day I rode almost 900 miles from Ogden UT to NW, WA in 18 hours and never had an issue with rain, rocks, or sucky helmet buffering. Even my GoPro atop my helmet was in the comfort zone! I LOVE THIS WINDSHIELD & THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS VERY HELPFUL in Guiding me to the right size for my needs. Lastly, the windshield is 2x thicket and more durable than anything else I've used thus far! I could keep going, but I think I've made my point. I'm 100% satisfied. Just wish I knew about CLEARVIEW before buying a rack full of other unusable windshields.
