These Shields are Designed to Mount to the OEM Yamaha V-Star 1300 Brackets. Clearview Shields are designed as “replacement” windshields and we do not offer any brackets/braces/framing or any other hardware.

  • Our windshields are pre-drilled and pre-contoured to mount to your existing OEM setup.
  • 4 different heights available to tailor the shield height to your height
  • Added width for increased protection for your arms and shoulders
  • Allows rider controlled airflow to enhance comfort in warmer climates, and helps relieve back pressure, Adjusts in 5 different positions which controls angle of air flow around rider

    2011 VSTAR 950 - Replace Factory Windshield

    The shield was well packed and a perfect fit with the bikes OEM brackets. I am 6′ tall and the previous shield directed the wind and other “objects” directly into my face shield. These are now directed just over the top of my helmet.
    I do recommend having some loctite handy for the acorn washers, I had one loosen up after the new windshield was installed that needed to be replaced.

    Vstar 1300, 16" with vent

    Quality windscreen, the extra width and vent helped with 95% of the head buffeting at legal speeds from the air coming around the tank. Easy to install as well. I would definitely recommend Clearview as a quality replacement windshield.

    I’m 5’8″. Bought a beautiful Yamaha v star 950 touring with stock windshield. Terrible wind buffeting. Did some research and put on lower fork shields, which helped about 60% but buffeting was still annoying over 50 MPH. Went with the 18″ clear shield with vent. Well, well! did that do the trick. Absolutely no more wind buffeting. I was originally hesitant about including the vent in my purchase, but man am I glad I got that. It was well worth it. I can adjust that slight breeze at my chest or right at my face. Concerning installation. 4 bolts gets the windshield off the bike to do the changeover on a towel on a table. Everything lined up perfectly. I am so happy with the purchase. If you are debating, pull the plug. You wont be disappointed.

    A world of difference!

    I recently installed a Clearview Shield on my Yamaha V Star 1300 Tourer. The factory shield drove me crazy, too tall and bad buffeting. The Clearview Shield is just the right height, and buffeting is virtually gone. Once I added fork deflectors (Memphis Shades), the wind issue was PERFECT! Since then I added Cobra fatty highway bars, so I had to move the fork deflectors. A tiny amount of buffeting returned…so a trade off. Anyway, I can’t recommend this enough, buy a Clearview Shield. You won’t regret it. (Great quality. Easy install.)
