For my project bike I chose the Clearview replacement for a very cracked and scratched original. It exceeded expectations. This design/product outclasses the OEM part. Material, fit and functionality all superb. It's just the best value out there. Even the attachment hardware is fantastic. Prior to this bike, I renewed the windshield on a R100S with OEM. Wish I would have gone with Clearview now. Thank you Guys.

I generally pay people to put accessories on a few of my motorcycles. Well, let me tell you the quality of this windshield and how easy it went on the R 18 and now one of the biggest complaints about the factory windshield has been solved. It kicks the wind over your helmet and around your body what an incredible product great job guys and gals.

I've owned a number of motorcycles and had different windshield issues over the years. This windshield I ordered for my 1983 BMW R80RT seems to be perfect. I ordered a clear 19 inch with a vent and curved lip. It came very well packaged and I followed the instruction of leaving the packing tape on it until I had ridden with it. For the RT model airhead fairing you have to realize that it's a pain to install. This is a BMW design issue, not anything to do with Clearview. But when I went for a ride I was able to see over it very easily - that's why I have the 19 inch one. The vent works like I hoped: I can adjust it to get air right in my face. There is no buffeting at all at any speed. This is not the case with other bikes I currently own, or have owned in the past. For the rest of my test ride I pulled the packing tape off after running the bike through different speeds for I am very happy with how it works. I'm really looking forward to riding it next year in different situations to see how well it continues to perform. I can heartily recommend Clearview for all BMW riders!

It fit on the OEM bracket perfectly. Maybe provide a slightly higher durometer washer for the bolts, but other than that, installation was easy. The wind buffeting was improved for speeds under 65-70mph, but not much for anything over that. I kept the same height as the OEM shield with the recurve top. I'm 5'-7" and riding on the stock seat.

Earlier this year, I acquired a 1989 K100LT that hadn't been ridden in 20 years. The original windscreen was cracked and cloudy. To complete the restoration, I bought the 24" gray from Clearview as an upgrade over a stock windscreen. The mount holes fit perfectly and the mount kit (rubber grommets) were a nice addition as the original washers were cracked and brittle. Aside from the obvious cosmetic improvement, the reduction in wind noise is immediately noticeable.

Very nice, thick and high quality plexiglass. I only knock it down to 4 stars due to the screw holes not lining up perfectly with the factory mounting holes which made it difficult to install. I only had to enlarge one hole ~1 mm though to get all the included mounting bolts installed. Looks great and you can't tell it from a factory original.
