The Honda ST1100 windshield has a Contoured shape for Improved Air Flow & Shield Strength.
- 6 different heights available to tailor the shield height to your heights
- 4″ added width for increased protection for your arms and shoulders ( not available on the 9″ and 11″ height)
- Lower Black Masking Covers Lower Dash Area for a Clean, Finished Look
- Upper Recurve pushes the air up higher creating a larger, quieter pocket
- Dark gray tint is only available on the 9″ or 11″ heights

During the final stages of product development, we send out samples of our designs to different riders for review and feedback to refine the finished product. These individuals are asked for their body height, inseam, and any existing Bike mods/modifications. These guys make great windscreens for bikes and are very customer service oriented. That said, they could be more tech savvy: I don’t think they showed up at all when I did google searches for “ST1100 windshield replacement”, tried “windscreen” as well… (They should google “Search Engine Optimization”.) I ordered from some company on eBay that took me six weeks to ship me a CBR screen (still waiting for the refund). I found out about Clearview thru the online version of “word of mouth”: an ST1100/1300 riders forum. Rave reviews. So I ordered… I don’t get how since the screens are made to order most of the choices in the order form showed “Out of stock” for my old bike but the selection it allowed me to make was pretty much the screen I was trying to replace; the one that came with the used bike after I bought it. Nearly a month after my order (they didn’t provide order tracking on the site) and was pleased to get a human first call! Unfortunately, he couldn’t find the order by order number, then phone number then… Finally he was like, “Oh yeah, we should make that next Tuesday… Another couple of weeks of great riding weather gone (this is springtime of course, so I’m sure they were inundated) and I get a call from a guy saying there were flaws in the screen and did I want a discount or a do-over…. by now my bike really wants to hit the road, he sent me photos, I got a few bucks off, and it showed up nearly perfect, as advertised, though the enclosed hardware didn’t match my faring really. No matter, I reused the old.

So far I like the new windshield. The one thing that I noticed is that it does distort my vision slightly. Its not bad but noticeable. Also I ordered the extra tall extra wide version. I’m 5′-11 and unfortunately that put the top edge of the shield just at or slightly above my direct field of vision. If I were to do it again I think I’d order the 2” taller than stock instead of the 4”. It does provide an unparalleled amount of undisturbed air in the pocket. I have no helmet buffeting and very little wind noise even when cruising 75-80 on the interstate. So overall I would recommend Clearview Shields.

I suppose the fact that my 4 ST1100 bikes have come with an assortment of other manufacturers screens and all had or my now 3 ST1100s have Clearview windscreens on them might suggest my preference for them.

Product fit perfectly and looks great. I replaced the stock shield with an XL one from Clearview Shields to get a little more shelter from wind when riding at highway speeds. My stock shield was also a bit worn from 19 years of use, so the new shield makes mike bike look much newer. Although I did not have to use any of it, I also appreciated the hardware that was included with the shield.

I bought a medium height, with the “cat eye” vents for my 2000 st1100. The stock shield was very noisy from the wind blast on the top of my helmet. Much quieter now and crystal clear. I look over the top of the shield by 2 or 3 inches.

I just picked up a used 1991 St1100 with 9300 miles on it. My only complaint about the bike is that although the stock shield looked good on the bike it was terrible when riding at speed. I’ve used Clearview before on other bikes I’ve owned and knew the to be a honest and reliable company with excellent products. I bought the 4″ over with a vent and couldn’t be happier. I now can still look over the shield without being blasted in head with the stock shield. The fit and finish is excellent and the product works as specified, also customer service is to be given high ranks. Great product, Great company,,and I couldn’t be happier.

I just wanted to say that last year I called and the company, for a 4 way vent to install in my windshield. I spoke to two different people and got the same answer. ” we don’t recommend it. They were right and I was wrong. I installed the 5 way vent ( a 4 hr job) that looked great.

When I purchased my 2000 Honda ST1100 four years ago it came with an aftermarket windshield about stock height. It soon became clear to me that I needed a larger rider capsule to increase my comfort and endurance. I tried aftermarket stealth edging and then attaching winglets to increase coverage but found them to be an annoyance and removed them soon after.

Just thought that I would send you a note to say that I bought one of your windshields for my ST1100 during the year, and have recently mounted it on the bike down here in New Zealand. I have to say that it is everything that I hoped for, and has really enhanced my enjoyment on the road. I am experiencing very little turbulence on the helmet now, so the ride is quiet and comfortable.

The shield finally went on about a week ago ( after most of the last snowfall melted ). I tested it out in the countryside at about 42 degrees F. Even at 80 mph, it was great! I could see clearly over the top, but the wind just buffeted the top of my open face helmet. The freezing cold did not come near my exposed face. The next morning I rode to work in the city and stayed at a respectable 30 mph in temperatures right at the freezing mark. Again, the windshield was perfect for protection.

Got the shield so late last autumn, that the season was already over. This summer has been rainy and busy so that mileage is rather low, app. 2000km, but the shield is perfect, even my wife feels the difference. The shield has awoked interest among fellow ST riders, so that you pobably will have more customers in Finland.
