Harley Davidson FXLRST Low Rider ST Windshield
Our New Harley Davidson Low Rider ST Windshield Design
Clearview Shields new Harley Low Rider ST windshield ensures a quiet comfortable ride over the stock screen. With improved design ques to insure optimal wind management. Increased width and recurve design help to move the air around the passenger while providing a clear view of the road. Along with the increased width and recurve design, we have also changed the approach angle for optimal coverage.
Height
Do to the angle change of our windshield Clearview Shields has moved to a vertical height measurement, in addition to length enhancements
Note: Screen is measured vertically from vent exit on inner fairing to top edge of screen (stock screen measures 8″ vertically)
Small- 11.25″ vertical (2.5″ Longer than stock 1.5″ wider than stock)
Medium- 12.25″ vertical ( 3.5″ Longer than stock 1.5″ wider then stock)
Large- 13.75″ vertical (5″ Longer than the stock screen 1.5″ wider then stock)
X-L- 14.75″ vertical ( 6.5″ Longer than the stock screen 1.5″ wider then stock)
Width
The new Clearview Shields Low Rider ST windshield is 1.5″ wider than the stock screen to improve wind management. This measurement is from the widest point to point across the back of the screen.
The increased width will create a bigger pocket of air for the rider. Helping to reduce wind noise and buffeting at high speeds.
Tint
Clearview Shields offers three available tint options for the Low Rider ST. (Gallery pictures show 11″ Dark Grey)
(Medium gray is unavailable)
Light Grey- 75% Transmission
Smoke- 48% Transmission
Dark Grey- 15% Transmission
Vent
Clearview Shields Low Rider ST screen will come with the option of a no vent or vent.
Vent Delete
The benefit of deleting the vent is keeping the rain and debris off of the rider. The vent delete also gives the screen a cleaner look.
Vented
The vented screen will help reduce head buffeting by allowing airflow in the low pressure zone behind the windshield. This will create a bigger pocket of air for the rider to sit in.
While there is pros and cons to the two screens both the vented and non-vented screens will offer optimal protection over the stock Harley screen.
Recurve
Clearview Shields recurve design gives an additional 2″ of lift off the top edge. For example the 11″ recurve screen will offer the same protection as a 13″ tall screen. Clearview Shields designs the recurve to increase lift with minimal distortion to the screen.

Install was very easy, the fit and finish is prettygood. Wind protection is a 1000 times better than the stock windshield, and very little buffering over 80 mph. I’m very happy with my purchase and would 100% recommend.

First and foremost, the quality is excellent! You can tell they care about their product and getting it to you without any hassle or damage. The fitment could be a little cleaner. The shield doesn’t fit exactly flush against the weather strip, but it does seal. The tabs on the end come up off the fairing some, and while an eyesore it doesn’t have any negative effect. For reference I am 6ft tall and my seat sits me about an inch higher than stock seat. Around town, the shield does great and I like having it there. However, at about 70mph you’ll get some minor buffeting. At 90mph it becomes aggressive buffeting that I would not want to put up with for very long. The buffeting hits right at the top of my helmet, and as it builds it comes around the sides as well. Due to the design of the bike, I don’t think a shield could be made any wider or at less of a steep angle without it coming in contact with the stock handlebars. All in all it’s a good shield, but I was hoping for better performance and better fitment. As one of the three available options for this bike, I’d still recommend it.

Thanks for the review Dustin. First Gen was designed around the Basic ST dash configuration. We since then have found the Audio upgrade slightly changed the fit on the lower 2 mounts which we have fixed on all new releases as of 1/2/23(2 Gen) We will be reaching out to you to discuss options for getting you the correct screen, if you wish to pursue that option. Thank you again for your feed back and we look forward to correcting the issue.
