    :

Impression with a test ride of 2500 km (1000 of highway).
When wind come from side: the bike don’t move
When the rain fall: I’m not wet
The vent works well in hot days and when I raised shield at hight speed just open it in good position for cancel back pressure.

Just in a word: fantastic, marvelous, a great product.
    A new sensation in riding.

    :

Thanks for all the GREAT work that you did for Luci and me yesterday. Your warm customer service was very much appreciated.

Now for the report. The new shield provides more wind protection that the stock shield. The wind noise was substantially reduced for both Luci and for me. One thing that I noticed is with my helmet. I wear a full face Shuberth helmet. There is a shield vent in the chin bar. With my stock shield there was a substantial amount of noise when open. With your shield there was no more noise with it open v/s closed. Even though the new shield is larger, I don’t think that the gas mileage is negatively effected. Gas mileage might even be improved. The negative pressure pushing on our backs at speed is gone also.

The optics and very good. No visual distortion.

Again, thanks for you warm, personal service.

1st. the shield did not need to be raised more than about 2/3rds of its top available height to stop wind buffeting for the passenger. 2nd. in that position it also removed most of the passenger shoulder wind buffeting. 3rd. it is an extremely quiet environment for the rider and also quietens it for the passenger(especially around helmet). 4th. also with the shield in its lowest position I can still see over the top ( 5ft 8in 30in inseam) seat in the lowest position 5th. as the shield height is raised you pick up a slight wind noise through approximately 1 inch of movement somewhere about in the 1st 3 inches of upward movement(never use it in that position). 6th. rider doesn’t feel any back pressure; passenger gets a slight upward draft on her back. 7th. Arms and chest of passenger had reduced pressure. 8th. on some truck passing the shield had to lowered some to prevent some turbulence. 9th. before you mount the new touring model you will be able to see what looks like some distortion around the new larger sections however when I ride I do NOT see those at any time.

I have tried the following: Std. Honda, Rifle, Cee-Bailey, 1st gen Clearview, Clearview GT med, and the new Clearveiw GT large Touring. My recommendation is: the new Touring model for ALL trips with two up. The GT med for rider alone or normal short rides. We just rode 3000 miles with the GT med and 2000 miles with the GT large Touring.
I found that Craig and John are willing to listen to your needs and be of help.
If I can be of any help please let me know.

I was extremely impressed with the Clearview shield that I received as far the wind protection and the reduction in noise. There is also NO helmet buffeting. I want to tell you that this IS an awesome wind shield. I’ve already recommended it to a good friend.

    Thanks again,

    :

I bought my Clearview GT Large with cat eye vents a few weeks ago, and am very impressed with it. I ordered it directly and he answered all my questions on the phone. I told him I wanted good coverage from the cold wind in the morning, and wanted the breeze off my arms and shoulders. All the GT shields are 3 inches wider, but when I asked about a 4 or 5 inch,

I noticed right away how crystal clear and distortion free the GT is. It bolted up perfectly, and looked good on the bike. I don’t have the mirror wind deflectors yet, but there seems to be plenty of room for them when the shield is in the lowest position. It sits about 3 inches below my line of sight, and indeed gives good wind protection with little noise up to about 60mph. At speeds above that, I needed to raise the GT up a bit. On the freeway at indicated speeds of 85, I raised it so that I was looking through the top 2-3 inches. This gave very good wind protection, but with some buffeting on my arms.I did notice a slight whistling noise from the vents initially when raised a few inches, but I don’t notice it now. Also, there is virtually no back-pressure, so the vents are doing their job.

I took the ST1300 out on the freeway and drove 10 miles; 70 mph for 5 miles, turned around and 80 mph for 5 miles back. I purchased the Clearview windshield because I wanted to get the wind off my biceps when it is COLD outside, it did that. The Clearview shield is wider than the OEM shield; it did just what I had hoped for. I felt a very small amount of wind under my arm, no windshield is going to take care of that unless it covers the mirrors completely (can you say UGLY…if it went over the mirrors). When it is cool outside, I would normally drive so as I can see over the shield. If my wife is with me, however, I will run the shield up. Now she will have even more wind protection from not only the added height, but also the width as well.

I wear a full face helmet and keep my visor open (unless it is snowing). With the OEM shield, whenever I turned to look in ‘blind spot’ on the left, I would get a little wind inside my helmet, which would hit my microphone (intercom) and the mic would become ‘hot’. The co-rider and I would hear the wind noise in our helmet speakers and it would cut off my radio (boo). With the Clearview shield, since it is a wider screen, the wind doesn’t cause this problem (yeah!).

I also had the vent in the middle of the screen put in. In the summer time, I know I’m going to love having that vent there; I missed it on the ST1300 OEM shield, as I came from the Gold Wing with that vent. I did not have a problem with buffeting that many rides complain of with the OEM shield on the ST1300, with the Clearview, there still isn’t any buffeting on me. Now that the temperature is dropping, I’m looking forward to riding even more. Once the temperature starts to rise next year, I have the vent to bring air in.

    I’m a happy camper!

I just returned from a four day, 2100 mile tour on my ST1300 behind the new GT Medium shield. What an improvement! I had just about given up after trying the stock, Cee Bailey, and Cal Sci shields, but this one from you has finally solved the wind noise and head buffeting problems. The lip at the top allows me to run it much lower and still get the protection I need, even in the rain in Washington!

    :

I purchased the Clearview shield for my 2003 Honda ST1300, because the stock shield was causing so much buffeting that it created a lot of neck and upper sholder fatuge especily at interstate speeds.

The other reason is that your van was at a Westoc rally in Golden CO so the purchase was very conveniant for me.

I found the shield easy to see through, and I found the buffeting much improved.
I would recommend this shield to anyone that has issues with the stock shield.

    :

Here comes my 20 mile review. Fit and finish excellent. Shape/size looks nice with the lines of the bike.

Wind noise is very much reduced. Buffeting around helmet gone completely. Back pressure not bad. I am sure the holes in the windshield help a lot. You nailed the shape for wind management.

Height is good, I think. I almost wish I had gone stock height or even a touch shorter. The little recurve does such a good job are throwing wind up and over my head that there is a very noticeable lack of wind on the body for a shield only being slightly taller than stock. It was 100 on the way home tonight so it was a good test.

Overall I am exceptionally happy with the Quality/function and buying experience from Clearview.

Here are some pics of my Honda ST1300A with the Clearview replacement shield. It’s the “HON-S30S ST1300 GT SMALL” model, with the two PRV slots. It is a miracle for me and especially for my wife as a passenger.

    Thanks for a great product

I bought a ST1300 Large Light grey windshield from you back in May. Having had it in use for 6 months now, I can say that I am totally satisfied with my Clearview Windshield! As a 6’6″ tall rider, it was exactly what I needed to give me the protection I was looking for.. I highly recommend Your product to anyone regardless of their height… I’ve cleaned it many ,many times since May and it is still scratch free! Doing business with you was a great experience, from the consultation, sales process, manufacturing and delivery.

I’ve tried 2 other aftermarket shields and you have them beat by a long shot.

As I state below I experienced loud whistling at certain/mid hieghts – discovered it to be the poor fit up on the honda upper cowl bottom edge, a couple of clips solved it fine. Thought it worth mentioning should others encounter the same.

Thanks for the support and a wonderful product.

    Medium Light Grey w/PRV vents

I decided to ride my bike with your shield on it a few weeks so I could give you a real review. To begin with, I received my shield in perfect condition on the day it was estimated to arrive. Good start. Mounting it was a breeze–all the holes lined up. My first ride with the wrapping still on the shield was very enjoyable. I came home, removed the shield, removed the wrapping, reinstalled the shield and rode my bike at every opportunity thereafter. With the old shield (a Cee Bailey large), I passe up a lot of good riding days simply because I could not tolerate that shield! I couldn’t be more pleased with the Clearview, however. I will definitely recommend your shields. By the way, I still haven’t found the blemishes.
I have attached 3 pictures of my bike and shield. Thanks!

Medium – Light Grey – 5 Position Vent – clean kit. All puchased in 2013.
    I am 5’10 1/2″ tall.

-Recently took a trip through the Canadian Prairies and Rocky Mountains.
-I have Experienced various riding conditions with this shield (strong headwinds and cross winds +50kph, bright sun, rain).
-With the OEM shield, I had to have ear plugs at hiway speeds and experienced significant buffeting in all wind conditions.
-With this windshield, buffeting is greatly reduced and I no longer need ear plugs when at hiway speeds. The recurve allows for the windshield to be situated below my line of sight which is great for visual clarity at any time without significant wind affecting my helmet. During the 2 days of headwinds, I frequently had the windshield at 3/4 or full height without problems.
-The windshield performed flawlessly and removing the insects and bugs at the end of the day simply meant wiping the windshield with clear water and a soft cloth. I have used the 3 stage care kit with other older windshields with good results. I apply the polish before long trips.
-Fuel efficiency was not affected by the larger shield because the recurve allowed me to keep the shield lower thereby reducing the overall presentation of the bike into the wind.

I highly recommend this windshield. After 3 years and frequent riding, there is no distortion or deterioration in the windshield.

    (verified owner):

I purchased this shield after a considerable amount of research. In addition, I got a great end of the year price. This shield almost entirely eliminates all buffeting and wind noise even when all the way down. Raise it 1 inch and all you hear is engine. I have the vent and am very glad I got it. It offers a significant amount of air through and is big help. The extra width is perfect for keeping the cold wind off my shoulders and arms.
