Clearview Shields is now in our 33rd year of offering quality options for your Road Glide Windshield 2004 to 2013. Developed after months of design and road testing with a final rider forum to work out the bugs, this windshield slopes back toward the motorcyclist with a recurved top section. The concept has been an industry favorite for long distance comfort without the distortion and turbulence found in competing replacement windscreens. From custom heights and vent options you will find everything you need to love the Long Ride again.
These shields were designed to fit with the stock handlebars and mirrors. Also, the factory installed GPS may interfere with the fit of the Wider Shields and may need a very slight modification to the GPS bracket. Clearview Shields are designed to serve as replacement windshields.
- 6 different heights available to tailor the shield height to your height
- Upper Recurve pushes the air up higher creating a larger, quieter pocket. Please note the Recurve option is only available on the Stock, Small, Medium, Large
- Full foam strip seals between the shield and dash, eliminating marring of black masking from fairing
- New rubber edging across the bottom of the shield that stays on (No adhesive needed)
- Dark gray tint (available on Sport,13, Small, Stock, Medium)
Height: Due to the angle of our shield sloping back toward the rider, we have found that a “vertical” reference is the best method of choosing the proper shield. The vertical reference is measured straight up vertically from the top of the gauges as shown. Please note: These measurements were acquired by polling 1000 of our Roadglide customers. Measurement tolerance is approximately 1/4″.

- These shields are made with an upper recurve to increase the wind lift by approx. 2″ when compared to a straight shield. When choosing a larger “look through” windshield, please understand that whenever you bend/form plastic, there may be a change in the optics in that area. On our XL and XXL, the recurve is extremely subtle, but still , a slight change of optics may occur when looking through the recurve. These issues are not covered under warranty.

Best part is that they made an extremely small error, and we’re talking negligible (almost unnoticeable), and they called and asked if I wanted to have it redone or if I wanted a discount. They discussed what was the issue, how it could be fixed, how visible it was, the placement of it, and if they believed it would effect anything during the ride. I asked for the discount and they were very generous.

Could not be more pleased. 2011 Road Glide Ultra. 5 feet 7 inches tall. Tried multiple windshield heights and styles before. Stuck with stock windshield as it provided the best coverage for me. Still bothered by buffeting, noise, and wind at eye level. After incredibly helpful phone conversation with Clearview, ordered GT Medium wiith Recurve and vent, light grey tint. Installed myself with recommended Youtube tutorial. Even with the reportedly tricky Harley trim kit, installation was perfect, which I can’t say about all of my mechanical projects. Looks great. Just returned from 1000 mile trip over a variety of roads and conditions. I took the face shield off my 3/4 helmet, as I was comfortable in the “bubble” with only my sunglasses on. Much quiter. Temperature changes managed by changing vent settings. Wish I found this product a long time ago!!!

I’ve been riding with my new Clearview shield for a month or so now and I must say that I am very impressed. I got the stock height and the wind is noticably less than the stock H-D shield and the clarity is terrific. Did I mention that the annoying “bubbling” sound has disappeared? My only regret is that I didn’t order one when I bought the bike new 2 years ago. You boys are making a great product. Keep up the good work. I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know how thrilled I am with my new Clear View windshield. My wife and I bought a new Harley RoadGlide last December. We love the bike, but hated the stock windshield!! I think the issue is that the fairing on this model is more forward than the ElectraGlide Classic we had. Therefore, the wind was really a problem, whether from straight on or the side.

I’m writing this e-mail to inform you that today my wife and I test rode our new Harley Road Glide with our new Clearview windshield installed. The turbulence and buffeting problem that existed before your windshield does not exist now. Your company and product took what started out to be a riding nightmare and turned it into a riding dream. Here are some pictures of my 06 RoadGlide with the clearview lower replacement windshield. My line of sight is now about 2″ above the shield instead of on the edge of the stocker. It still shields the wind and vision is much improved. Great product!

Thought I’d send you a few pics of my Road Glide with the 2″ over shield. It fixed all my problems with the wind and I think it looks great on the bike, it also doesn’t shake like the stocker did! I also sent a few pics with the new chrome trim that Harley just came out with. I know a lot of riders were wondering if it would fit, it fits your shield better that it does the factory one. It also comes all the way back just like your shield if I didn’t know

Here are a few pics of my 2006 HD Road Glide with the new clearview windshield. It is 3 inchs taller than stock. I rode it for the first time today in 40 degree weather. Very little air got past the shield, it will be very nice when it gets warmer. I was able to turn down the stero and listen to it without all the wind noise in my ears. I can hear my Screaming Eagle pipes much better too.

I recently purchased a Clearview GT 13 Dark Tint and installed it on my black 2013 HD Road Glide. It replaced the HD Windsplitter that I had installed on it the day it was delivered. The HD Windsplitter was only doing a fair job of cutting the wind noise and I was getting wind in my eyes and helmet where there was no coverage.
