I was contacted before the windshield shipped and notified that there was a small defect in the finished product. I was asked if I wanted Clearview to remake the shield. I said no and was given a discount.
When the shield arrived, I couldn't even find the defect, though its location was described to me. GOOD JOB on the customer service and the great product.

First of all sorry for my english. Shield for my Vakyrie was delivered with 100% both sides protect foil. It fits perfectly to original holders. As you can see, look reaaly good on this bike. Firts short ride was without troubles. Seeing through clear (not colorized) shield is really great. Only one diference with original piece is missing mass under headlight, but it is not very important for me. Shield was delivered to europe very quickly. Great job. Thank you.

Great windshield. I have the extra large. Extends 2.5 inches on each side. Light grey. On street glide. The tint is very light, but just enough to cut the glare from the sun and on coming headlights at night. I workes great for me with a 2 inch windflow lift going above my head with no buffering noise. The light grey tint looks great on my black bike. All around its a great windshield. And I've had many! I'd say this is the best so far in my 54 yrs of riding. I would sincerely recommend clearview shields to anyone looking for a motorcycle windshield that is multifunction .

Looks amazing. Fits perfectly. Wind deflection is much improved over stock. The only suggestion I have is to include black nylon washers (or new grommets) with the purchase. Because the windshield is heavier gauge than the stock windshield, to ensure the fit is snug you have to properly torque the screws (not too tight) and the screw heads tend to pull through the rubber grommets that came with the stock windshield.

This windshield is EXACTLY what your Silverwing needs! I commute daily on my SW throughout the city and on the freeway with my partner. Me being 6’4” the original windshield didn’t do much, but she especially hated the buffeting at high speeds, calling it “the head bobble”.
with my beautiful large +4” vented windshield the vent works great, I’m protected from the cold in the morning, and got rid of buffeting.
Now it’s time to rack up the miles!

I bought a competitors windshield for my Low Rider ST. I'm 5'11" and that windshield did nothing to keep the wind off my face/head.
I just installed my Clearview Shield and, while I can still feel a bit of wind, most of it just travels up over my head. I'm happy and the bike is happy.

After 22 years of riding my OEM shield it was time to replace it. Contacted Clearview and they were on it promptly, received a message that the shield would need to be made and that take approximately 18 days.
The windshield arrived in time and was well packaged. Unboxed it and followed the instructions. Installation was easy, just pay attention that if you have any extra's like windshield pouch etc. you may need longer bolts in some areas. I needed two slightly longer mid bolts.
Took a short ride (20 miles or so due to winter still being here) and did not notice that the new shield had any difference in buffeting or other affects. So far very impressed. I did not get to truly test the new vents as it was cold out and did not ride far, however I believe they will be lifesavers in the summer months in Idaho.
The clarity is amazing and the quality of the windshield is also top notch. Much thicker and sturdier than the OEM.

I am 5’9” and this windshield made a huge difference at 70mph and below. I bought the small because I wanted to be able to see above the windshield when I ride and to keep as much as possible the original bike look. I still get some air on top of the helmet at high speeds, but it is not uncomfortable. It took 4 weeks for the product to arrive, but it was worth the waiting time since by then they had improved the product (2nd gen) and corrected the initial fitting issues. I definitely recommend it.

I originally had the 18” with recurve but wanted more protection from the buffeting. This fits the bill. It is not only taller and wider, but extends further down than the standard windshield. The main problem with the smaller shield was the turbulence coming from around the tank area. This shield comes down far enough and covers the tops of the “fangs” which eliminates that. Makes the ride MUCH more comfortable.

5'8"
I didn't hate the stock screen. However, the medium w/ vent improved things greatly over stock. Large would probably have been better @ highway speeds, but I didn't want to sacrifice wind flow around town...and like I said, I never hated the stock piece so wasn't looking for Gold Wing peace in the saddle.
I can ride helmet visor up, no problem to 60mph. Over 70, very mild buffeting depending on wind direction and speed. Much quieter than stock regardless of condition.
Recommended purchase for FXLRST.

Clearview
Just got my Clearview +3 with PRV style venting. It’s amazing. I’ve owned several Honda bikes over the years and always bragged on their engineering and design work. On all the bikes I’ve owned, I’ve thought about things Honda could improve upon, but never found anything I considered a complete miss before. Until that is, I rode behind the Clearview for the first time. I was hoping for improvement over my Hondaline tall shield, but I didn’t realize how badly Honda botched the wind protection and noise until I rode with it fixed by the Clearview. The day I bought my PC, I rode two up on my buddy’s GL1800 to pick up my PC and rode it back home a little over 400 miles approximately two years ago now. If I had it to do over, I’d buy the clearview prior to taking delivery of the bike, ride 400 miles with it strapped to the back of the ‘wing, and switch it out before I rode the 400 miles home. It’s that much better. Some data points to consider:
• I’m 5’10 with a 32” inseam, (pretty short torso)
• I had the tall Hondaline screen for several months (which I’ve read is +3” tall over stock?)
• I cut 1.5 inches off the tall Hondaline so it intersected my sightline when looking at a point 50’ ahead
• I have the stock Honda Seat
• The Hondaline tall as I had trimmed it measured 25” along the surface of the shield from top of the vent cutout to the top of the shield.
• The Clearview measures exactly like their website specs out (23.5”), but for clarity, the measurement for the PC is not vertical, it’s along the surface of their shield, from the top of the OE air vent cutout to the upper edge of the shield.
• The Clearview is at a much steeper angle than the OE shield, so while it’s shorter length wise (see above) it actually intersects my sightline to the ground at a spot about 200 feet in front of the bike, making the shield feel and behave as if it’s taller.
• Noise with the OE shield (both before and after I trimmed it) was pretty quiet with my visor all the way up, but extremely noisy with the helmet closed. With the clearview there is almost no difference, open or closed, and volume levels are just a touch more noisy than OE with my shield open, but waaay quieter than visor closed with the OE shield.
• Buffetting is significantly less with the clearview
• The tendency for the wind to put weight on your hands from behind you that was present with the OE shield is gone.
• The OE tendency for the wind to shove the upper edge of your helmet’s viewport into your forehead (due all the fairing wind getting dumped on you at that level) is completely gone with the clearview, making even your helmet more comfortable (no kidding).
• With the OE shield you sorta found a sweet spot for seat comfort, combined with acceptable wind protection, and on 800+ mile days you just waited until your rear hurt enough that the wind drawback was worth it to move, then when you got tired of the wind, but your rear had gotten a break, you moved somewhere else. With the clearview, the noise and wind is much more consistent in a substantially wider envelope of seating positions, resulting in your ability to just move around wherever your butt’s comfort dictates without having to play the wind into the equation at all.
Overall, I highly recommend the Clearview. Short of going from no fairing at all to a Windjammer full fairing on my ’84 Nighthawk 650 back in high school, it’s the biggest single improvement in comfort that I’ve ever made to any bike I’ve owned. If you’re trying to be cheap and still fooling around with cutting, adjusting, and tweaking on the stock hondaline shield, just give up, and start spending your time collecting aluminum cans during your Sunday afternoon ride. You’ll collect enough to fund a Clearview in a whole lot less time than it would take to fix the stocker, and you’ll enjoy the ride a whole lot more.
