Knowing when motorcycles were invented seems like a pretty basic piece of trivia. It was 1885, right? That’s the year Gottlieb Daimler, Nicolaus Otto, and Wilhem Mayback combined a bicycle with a gas-powered engine.

The stock windshield that comes with the 2024 Harley Davidson Road Glide is so inadequate it’s almost like having no shield at all. I ordered the Clearview small shield in Whiskey and tested it out in several different environments and speeds from city riding to highway. The new shield is a significant improvement over the stock both in terms of wind noise and buffeting. I can actually hear my engine and music so much better. The only place I feel the wind now is a small amount on my arms which is fine. For reference, I am 5’9 and 32 inch inseam. The small offers plenty of protection.

This is the second Road Glide windshield I have purchased from Clearview Shields and I am happy to see the 2024 models are just as good as the previous windshields. These are outstanding high-quality windshields properly designed for long distance touring and clarity. The styling is excellent with top-notch fit and finish. I will continue to return to Clearview Shields with any bike I purchase for which they make a windshield.

Good fitment

Great price option to replace OEM shield. Would be nice if they had pictures of the three styles that are available to make a choice more conclusive.

When I bought my 2019 Indian Springfield new, I tossed the OEM windshield as fast as I could. I ended up buying a competitor windshield and have been using it up until about a month or so ago when I realized it was time to get a new one. I decided to go with Clearview Shields based on reviews and the price.

The windshield installed easily and it looks great. The recurve at the top is critical for minimizing wind buffeting. It's slightly wider than my previous winshield and the oem one, but that will reduce buffeting even more.

The build quality is top notch. I expect it to last a long time.
