2015 ROAD GLIDE WINDSHIELD QUALITY/PERFORMANCE QUESTIONNAIRE

Hello Road Glide Test Riders,

Below is our post-ride Questionnaire.  Please fill out each question and, if and when possible, include pictures to help explain any points you wish to get across.

Again, we appreciate your feedback and input.

Fit & Finish

What was your initial impression of the quality of the shield once you unpacked it?  As always, it looked excellent and the packaging protected it perfectly.

Did the screen easily mount onto the fairing? Yes, easier than the 2013 ones. I used Harley directions for chrome accent strips. If a bike has chrome accent strips where the shield attaches there is a different install process. (No washers)

If not please explain, including any changes you would suggest. Add directions for install with or without chrome accent strips.

Did the fit and finish of the screen meet your expectations? Absolutely.

Was the screen aesthetically pleasing once mounted? Pretty Close

If not please explain, including any changes you would suggest. I would consider cutting down the dark anti-glare coating to reduce its overall height at the center from 6” to 3.5”. Then taper it all the way down to the 2 outboard screw holes.

My personal preference would be to have it look like the lower masking on the dark smoke shield photo you included in this email.

If you ordered Lt Gray is the color what you expected? Yes

Performance

Was the performance of the shield what you had anticipated? Yes

Did the screen height meet your satisfaction? Overall height is perfect. It provides an excellent pocket of clean quiet air and I still am looking over the shield top edge.

If not please explain, including any changes you would suggest. I would consider tapering down the top outer edge corners to be slightly less square. Possibly a smooth arc somewhere between the GT and the scallop.

This would be an aesthetic preference for me. If it affects the ride envelope greatly I would not change it. (The ride envelope is really, really, really good now).

Clearview Shields softened the top corners to reflect a less boxy looked in our final version

Did the screen enhance to riding pocket for both you and/or your passenger? I did not have a passenger but the ride pocket is significantly better than stock.

Were there any distorted areas on the screen that caused problems when riding? None

The screen was designed with a Recurved top edge as well as a mid-height recurved side contour to enhance the pocket.

Do you feel these design attributes enhanced the ride for you and/or your passenger? Absolutely. To me this ride is so much quieter and it cut the buffeting down to nil.

Thank you for your time and input!
