Vent – there are two options:
- Standard position vent is 6 1/4″ from bottom of shield to bottom of the vent
- High position vent is 10 3/4″ from bottom of shield to bottom of vent (if additional instruments have been added to the inner dashboard)
Measurement Location:
- Length is measured in the center of the shield from top to bottom
- The angle of our replacement is 47 degrees when mounted on the bike

Just great. Fit well and has an adjustable vent. Took over a couple of windy bridges and sections of highway with wind advisory signs. It handles cross winds and back and fourth buffeting with ease. It’s also a major improvement on the original.

Preliminary fit seems OK. just 1 hole doesn’t quite line up. Will probably have to drill a little. Dismounted to repaint bike which will take a number of weeks at current slow pace. Haven/t removed wrapping yet. No complaints. Thanks for checking.

I received the shield two days ago, installed it and took the bike for a test ride, and I want to tell you that I am very happy with the product. The fit and finish are great, and the modifications I asked for (non-standard location of the vent and reduction of the shield height) are spot on. I now have a true see-over windshield on my BMW K100, with better aerodynamics than the stock shield and a vent that directs airflow where I want it, or can be closed off on chilly mornings. I had previously tried a Parabellum aftermarket shield and returned it, unsatisfied. Your shields are clearly better than Parabellum’s, in my opinion.

I purchased a 1990 K75RT this spring, and one of the first things I did was order a Clearview shield for it. I’ve been using a Clearview on my other bike for a few years now and have been extremely pleased.

My Clearview windshield arrived on Friday. On my ‘87 K100RT, it has eliminated most wind noise below 60 mph and significantly reduced the buffeting noise between 60-80 mph. It protects my arms from the cold, piercing wind and it does not cause a back draft or pressure on my back. As well, it does not flex in the wind as did the stock windshield. As an added bonus, for the first time I can see the road directly in front of me through the windshield. The stock windshield did not allow this view. I was concerned that the tint might be too dark, but no, it is just enough to reduce the glare. As with the stock,I am able to see over the windshield for a clear unobstructed view of the road.
